Let's join together for Breast Cancer Awareness Month
"The BCA campaign is rooted in the knowledge that when people join together, they are 'stronger together', and can achieve greater impact. This year's campaign is also focused on sharing personal stories and encouraging women to share their breast cancer stories with family and friends." - Desiree, Chic Coastal Living
"It's been my experience that almost every person has been impacted one way or another by breast cancer. One of the best ways we can try to relate to one another and show support is by sharing our stories and listening to the stories of others." - Molly, A Piece of Toast
"I heard the words 'not cancer' on the other end of my phone, and fell to my knees instantly offering a prayer of thanks. I was very lucky, but so many women are not. From that moment, I have felt an instant connection to anyone I have come into contact with who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. I know the power that comes from having the support of loved ones." - Leanne, Elle Apparel
"I know not everyone's c-word-story ends well, and so it is for this reason that I've been an active supporter of raising breast cancer awareness. In fact, my sisters and I started a non-profit and went on to host 6 annual mother-daughter fashion shows and luncheons to raise money for the cure, raising over $150,000." - Brighton, Brighton the Day
"Action doesn't happen alone. It's up to all of us to join together to make a significantly greater impact. Visit Estée Lauder's BCA Campaign site to learn more and join the fight." - Chassity, Look Linger Love

BACK TO SLIDE
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and in honor of the cause, 6 StyleList contributors are teaming up with Estée Lauder Companies to spread the word on its annual BCA Campaign. This year's theme is "Let's Defeat Breast Cancer. We're Stronger Together.", encouraging women affected by the disease to share their personal stories and seek support from others.
Rooted in the knowledge that when people join together they are "stronger together", Estée Lauder has taken a unique video storytelling approach to this year's campaign. Moved by the 2014 BCA campaign's powerful message, our contributors are showing their support for the cause by sharing their own stories. Even those who weren't personally touched by the disease found they knew or knew of someone who had been -- that alone signifies the importance of spreading the word! You can get involved yourself by sharing your own story or making a donation supporting the Breast Cancer Research Fund to the 2014 BCA Campaign.
