Duchess Kate shows barely a hint of a bump at SportsAid event
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, attended an event for one of her charities, SportsAid, today in London. She met Olympic hopefuls and chatted with leaders about athlete performance and the latest regimen they'll partake in to see if they're ready. The potential Team Great Britain athletes are participating in high performance assessments and tests at the GSK Human Performance Lab.
Kate has always been passionate about sports and how they can change the lives of young people. It's made clear through her selection of SportsAid, Coach Core and (her newest patronage) the 1851 Trust as three of the foundations she supports.
Kate was wearing a plum dress by Goat, the Vreeland dress which retails for £450.00, or approximately $700. She paired the belted dress with black opaque tights and tall black flat boots. They looked like the same pair she wore when leaving the hospital in 2012, while pregnant with George.
Later in the day, Kate tried out on of their cognitive testing exercises for the athletes! We wonder how she scored... Apparently Kate joked while taking part in this test that she'd found "something you can do when you're pregnant"!
Earlier this morning, Kate's brother James Middleton did an interview for Good Morning America. He told Amy Robach that he wants to be "the cool uncle" to Prince George (um, you've got some competition by the name of Prince Harry for that one, James!), and that he was extremely nervous to speak at the royal wedding, as he's dealt with dyslexia his whole life. Another great tidbit we learned from James's interview? Lupo, William and Kate's adorable cockerspaniel was a wedding gift from James!
