Skin: Prep skin with Chanel Hydra Beauty Sérum, quickly followed by an oil-free primer “to lock in moisture.” Next, use a lightweight foundation like Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup around the periphery of the face. On areas where you need a bit more coverage, apply a full coverage foundation like Chanel Perfection Lumière Long-Wear Fluid Makeup. Blend with a sponge.

“It was a warm summer night in Hollywood,” says Byrne’s makeup artist Fiona Stiles, “so we went with a non-fussy summer look…Not too much on the eye, a sun kissed cheek and a bright, happy coral lip.”


Skin: Apply Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation to forehead, cheeks and chin and set with Chanel Natural Finish Pressed Powder in Dore topped with a touch of Benefit Hoola Bronzer.

Eyes: Sweep Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow in shimmery neutral Almond and Burberry Sheer Eyeshadow in brown Chestnut into the crease before sweeping coats of Lancôme Virtuose Mascara over curled lashes.

Lips: Paint a bright slash of coral color on the lips using Tom Ford Private Blend Lipstick in Ginger Fawn.

Vanessa Hudgens's Hair

Hudgens’s hairstylist Jamal Hammadi says he “transformed her haircut it height and separation that makes the texture look natural, chic and effortless.”


Prep: Blow out hair using a large wooden brush.

Style: Use an iron to create random curls. Pull these curls apart to give them height and separation. Then tease tresses starting from the roots.

Set: Brush fingers through your hair to texturize.

Mila Kunis's Hair

Hairstylist Mara Roszak created a sexy yet refined look for Kunis, pairing a relaxed low ponytail with loose spiraling strands and a ladylike headband to frame her face.


Prep: Apply Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray to damp hair and part down the middle. Rough dry your hair and twist random pieces around the face to add more movement.

Style: Once hair is dry add a smidge of Oribe Pomade to palms of hands then scrunch your tresses. Pull the hair into a loose ponytail at the nape of the neck, allowing pieces around the face to fall softly.

Set: Secure the ponytail by wrapping a piece of hair around the hair tie and pinning it underneath. Accessorize with a delicate headband.

Sofia Vergara's Hair

“I wanted to give Sofia a sexy, glam, beachy wave,” explains Vergara’s hairstylist Jen Atkin of the look she created for the Modern Family actress.


Prep: Apply Fekkai Full Volume Mousse throughout damp hair and spray Fekkai Beach Waves at the roots.

Style: Blow out your hair using a round brush, and set the top center section with Velcro rollers. Then use a 2-in.T3 curling iron to set curls away from face. Spray hair with Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray. Then use your fingers to break up the curls.

Set: After removing the rollers from the center section, apply dry shampoo at the roots to keep the volume locked in. Finish by curling bangs back with a CHI flatiron.
