Volunteers Honor War of 1812 Vets in Chalmette

Even those vets long gone deserve remberance this Memorial Day. Volunteers planted flags at every grave marker in Chalmette Cemetery today to honor them. Over 12,000 veterans are buried in the cemetery, all of which served from the War of 1812 up until Vietnam.
