This guy makes gourmet meals over a campfire. Over the Fire Cooking Owner, Derek Wolf stated, “What live fire cooking does, is it finds us getting back into our roots. What live fire cooking does, is it finds us getting back into our roots and learning how to cooks things that maybe our grandparents, our great-grandparents knew how to do. And it really actually connects us as humans more than anything else.” Wolf started Over the Fire Cooking to show people how creative you can get cooking outside — and it’s much easier than you think. He tries everything from hanging leg of lamb over the fire, to cooking steaks directly on the coals. He shares beef, pork, and chicken recipes as well as veggies, seafood, flatbread, and even stews with his 400k+ Instagram followers — all made over open fire. He stated, “I get messaged by people all the time just saying, ‘I loved what you’re doing, I wanted to do it on my own, I wanted to figure it and I just wanted to document it, too.’ It’s been a crazy journey as well to see people respond to that and love fire cooking just as much as I do.”
