This boxing machine ducks and weaves your punches. The “BotBoxer” evades your strikes while you train so that you get better at hitting your target in the ring. As stated on their website, “BotBoxer is a high-tech training machine for combat sports, designed to be your personal sparring partner. The robotic punching bag recognizes and escapes your strikes, swelling both strength and velocity of your punches. Get an epic upper-body cardio workout, improve your stamina.” The robot uses high-speed computer vision and motion recognition to react so fast you’ll miss unless you increase your power and velocity. The company claims it reacts “faster than a world champion,” but if you’re a rookie, you can adjust its skill level, motion, and reaction time. You can also adjust how often it makes mistakes. The bot even starts to fatigue after a while to simulate how a human opponent would react. You can check your stats after each session using the built-in touchscreen and get blow-by-blow performances statistics to see what you need to improve on. BotBoxer is the robot alternative to the stationary bag, but it’s not cheap, as units start at around $19,995. So if you want to seriously improve your boxing game, you’ll have to pay quite a bit for it.
