Director Robert Rodriguez Made 'El Mariachi' With Lab Rat Money

Veteran filmmaker Robert Rodriguez returned to the Sundance as part of the 'From the Collection' series, which brings back classic indie flicks to the film fest. His first feature film 'El Mariachi' celebrated 20 years since debuting at the Sundance Film Festival in 1993. Rodriguez made his first film for $7,000 and never thought it would launch his career, which now includes 'Sin City,' the 'Spy Kids' franchise and many more action films. Rodriguez talks to VIBE about how it all began.
