Sea Shepherd Unveils Japanese Member of Its Fleet

The latest weapon for anti-whaling activists docks in Australia. At 56-metres long and costing two million dollars, the ship is the newest member of the fleet for Sea Shepherd protesters - who frequently clash with Japanese boats in a bid to prevent whaling. The group says the ship was bought secretly from Japan using a U.S. company. It bears the name "Sam Simon", after the producer of The Simpsons who funded the purchase.
