The East Aurora School Board will reconsider a new policy for transgender students at a special meeting Friday. The policy allows students to choose restrooms and locker rooms based on the gender they identify as. The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the board approved the policy Monday without discussion. Some board members said they weren't aware of the content of the policy -- and that they only approved it because administrators presented it.
