Rare Superman Comic Nabs $175,000

A rare 75-year-old comic book featuring the debut of Superman has fetched 175,000 dollars at auction, according to comic book seller Comicconnect.com. The comic book, Action Comics No. 1 from June 1938, was the very first appearance of the all-American superhero by writer Jerry Siegel and illustrator Joe Shuster. It was found hidden in the wall of a Minnesota home by a building contractor. The identity of the buyer in the online auction, which ended on Tuesday, was not disclosed.
