Police Fire Teargas at Egyptian Protesters

Protesters clashed with police on the streets of the Mediterranean city of Alexandria late on Sunday (November 20). Protesters in the neighbourhood of Smouha pelted police with stones, who fired canisters teargas in a bid to disperse the angry crowds. At least 12 people were killed in clashes between security forces and crowds protesting against Egypt's ruling military council in some of the worst violence since the overthrow of Hosni Mubarak.
