Mongolia Re-Elects President

Mongolian leaders past and present. The nation's incumbent president Tsakhia Elbegdorj bowed to a giant statue of Genghis Khan before addressing supporters celebrating his re-election. The 50-year-old leader of the Mongolian Democratic Party won just over 50% of the votes to clinch victory on Thursday. Elbegdorj thanked the citizens of Mongolia, who he said were like his family, and also thanked late warrior Khan.
