A levee is about to break in Marseilles, a town about 75 miles southwest of Chicago situated along the swollen Illinois River. Over 100 homes are flooded and police went door-to-door telling people to evacuate and get to higher grounds. Marseilles Fire Chief Mick Garrison said 1,200 residents had to evacuate, and all the residents of a nursing home in Marseilles were also evacuated for their safety.
