After being born legally blind and suffering a stroke 20 years ago, Howard Geltman has depended on his guide dog Valor to help him out with everyday life. Geltman says without Valor he would have to rely on other people, and he's thankful that he has the service dog to help him out with daily activities. Two recent spinal surgeries kept Geltman in the hospital for 6 months, and during that period, he was separated from Valor. But now as he works to get healthy, Valor is back by Geltman's side.
