Think your truck is the most American ride out there? You better guess again. Cars.com has just unveiled its annual American Made Index, ranking 2018 model year vehicles by the percentage of parts made in the U.S.A. It also took in account the origin of the engines and transmissions along with the location the vehicles were assembled in. And the top 10 results sound surprisingly foreign? While the Jeep Cherokee came in number one with 72 percent of its parts made stateside, Honda’s Odyssey and Ridgeline took the second and third spots. Both are made in Alabama. Roll Tide! The Ford Taurus and the Chevy Volt followed at fourth and fifth. There you go Detroit. Following up are the Honda Pilot, Acura MDX, Ford Explorer, Ford 150 and Chevy Corvette. That’s right, Ford and Honda tied at three a piece in the top 10…Yeah, it’s weird. Do you think these rankings add up? Or are you having an existential crisis? Let us know in the comments!
