Here’s How Much The Royal Wedding Will Cost

You won’t believe how much the royal wedding costs. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s nuptials will cost about $45 million — 1,000 times the cost of the average U.S. wedding. The Kensington Palace is footing the bill and $43 million of that will be spent on security alone. Security for the event entails having snipers, military, security drones and more. Food and drinks are going to cost about $686,000 and the dress will cost around $430,000 — the bride is reportedly footing the bill for her own dress. The wedding rings, which are made of gold kept in the royal vaults, cost around $8,600. The venue, St. George’s Chapel, is, of course, completely free, but the large tent that will be outside costs around $500,000. Live music will cost around $430,000. Invites and wedding favors add up to about $290,800 and décor will be about $186,000. The flowers alone will cost $157,600. Entertainment will cost around $78,800 and the wedding cake will cost $71,600. The wedding will even have luxury toilets that cost $50,000. The event’s photographers will cast around $24,300 and the wedding party’s wardrobe will cost around $21,000. Makeup will cost around $14,300. Overall, the wedding will be quite an expensive spectacle.
