Jaylah's grandparents work opposite shifts so they can give her the round the clock care she needs. Jaylah has Krabbe disease, a hereditary disease that causes severe and rapid deterioration of mental and motor function. Her family says if she had been screened for the disease as a newborn she would have lived an almost normal life.
