Does deodorant use increase your cancer risk?

Armpit cleanses have recently become trendy because of the widely held belief that antiperspirant and deodorant use can cause breast cancer. The practice encourages people to abandon their current deodorant to 'rid yourself of all the bacteria jammed up in your armpits.' During the cleanse, you apply baking soda under your arms after a shower. OB-GYN Dr. Jennifer Ashton tackles this rumor head on.  'There is very little conclusive scientific evidence that supports that using deodorant causes breast cancer,' says Dr. Ashton.
