Extreme heat continued to blanket Southern California on Sunday, as temperatures hit 126 degrees in Death Valley, according to the National Weather Service. In Pasadena, six runners were hospitalized for heat-related conditions during a half marathon, the Los Angeles Times reported. On Saturday, several cities posted record temperatures including Palm Springs at 122 degrees, Indio at 121 degrees and Riverside at 105 degrees. An excessive heat warning is still in effect through Sunday evening.
