David Hasselhoff Campaigns Against Demolition of Berlin Wall

David Hasselhoff used his popularity among Germans to highlight a campaign to prevent local developers from tearing down part of the remains of the Berlin Wall. The artist nicknamed "The Hoff" became iconic in Germany back in 1989 when his song "Looking for Freedom" became part of the soundtrack for the fall of the wall and the reunification of the country.
