Hundreds of plants full of succulent nectar are arriving in the Hidden Jungle aviary at the San Diego Zoo. And at the same time, hundreds of pupa are growing to become beautiful butterflies in the hatching room. Bird curator Michael Mace says it's all in preparation for the zoo's Butterfly Jungle. Hundreds of the 30 species are emerging everyday, while horticulturists carefully select plants in peak bloom that will thrive in the exhibit.
