An abused dog from Foresthill has found a new home. Frankie, as he came to be known, was shot in the face with a pellet gun, and left for dead. A hiker discovered the dog still alive, but tied to a tree and badly injured. Animal rescuers at Scooter’s Pals in Grass Valley cared for the dog until he could find a permanent home. Rescuer Susan Wallace says Frankie is thriving, and seems to forget the abuse he endured.
