Passengers stunned by woman's bold move on an airplane

There’s video going around online of an airline passenger smoking a cigarette on a plane. When she realized a flight attendant was on the way, she actually tried to hide the cigarette in the seat back and attempted to blame the guy sitting next to her. Inside Edition spoke to a passenger who was sitting near the woman. 'She leans over to me and says 'Hey, can I have a cigarette?' And I'm like, 'No!,'' said Blake Goodwin. A flight attendant informed her Miami police would be waiting for her when she got off the plane. The woman responded, 'I already know that. I want to say my piece before I’m arrested.” The smoking passenger has been identified as Karen Halnon. She's an Associate Professor of Sociology at Penn State University. Smoking has been outlawed on all U.S. flights for 25 years. It was officially banned on international flights in 2000.
