A holiday gift came at the best time for a disabled Vietnam veteran and his wife. William and Antoinette Berczan went to the Premier Diner in Commack, New York, after doctors gave William a clean bill of health. To celebrate, they had a meal and were shocked to learn the check had been paid. The staff won't tell the couple who did it, saying in these situations, the generous person usually wants to remain anonymous.
