Supreme Court to consider case on LGBT civil rights protections

The Supreme Court said it will take up the question of whether someone can be fired for being gay or transgender. Adding to the suspense is how the highest court will rule now that Justice Anthony Kennedy is no longer there. Kennedy led the 5-4 majority in the 2015 ruling that the Constitution guarantees a right to same-sex marriage.
