Video shows former Boise State linebacker Leighton Vander Esch feed wild bear a fish

Leighton Vander Esch makes a living hitting running backs head on so a fuzzy bear in the Idaho mountains probably doesn’t freak him out like the rest of us.

The former Boise State and current Dallas Cowboys linebacker recently posted video on social media showing him feeding a wild bear a fish. Vander Esch appears to be feeding the bear from the deck of a fishing boat.

“Definitely a couple firsts this weekend. Not often you get to feed a wild bear and get a picture with two sturgeon in the same frame. Amazing weekend with family making memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you @killgoreadventures for an awesome trip,” Vander Esch posted along with the video and a couple of pictures on Instagram.

The Boise native appears to have been on a fishing trip in Idaho.
