In case you’ve missed it, there’s a new Manning earning all the headlines for his play at quarterback. Arch Manning is the top QB recruit in the class of 2023.

The nephew of Eli and Peyton Manning, Arch is a five-star prospect who is already on the radar of every major college football program. He has taken a number of high-profile visits this summer as he prepares for his junior season at New Orleans (LA.) Isidore Newman School.

While Arch is a similar type of recruit as his uncles, he’s a very different player. He has their passing talents, but his grandfather Archie’s athleticism and ability to extend plays.

“He throws it well and he is able to run around,” Eli said in a recent segment with FOX8. “Peyton and I got my mom’s speed, or it skipped a generation. I don’t know what happened there. But he does run better than Peyton and I for sure.”

Peyton was also interviewed for the same television report, but his comments focused on the legacy of having another Manning at Isidore Newman rather than his nephew’s skill set.

“I came to a game two years ago because I didn’t get to come last year because of COVID,” Peyton said. “My dad is sitting in the same spot in the bleachers that he sat in back in 1992 watching me play or 1998 watching Eli play. So that’s cool for him, to watch his grandchildren play.”

Manning and his Isidore Newman teammates will open up their 2021 season against Lusher on September 3.
