The Summer Olympics record for the 100m dash is 9.63 seconds, set by Jamaican star Usain Bolt at the 2012 Games in London.

How fast do you think you could run 100 meters?

Former collegiate golfer turned sports media personality Paige Spiranac gave it a try. Spoiler alert: she did not come close to Bolt’s record.

Spiranac, who played collegiately at the University of Arizona and San Diego State University, turned professional before moving into more of a media role. She’s since become a sensation on social media, with millions of followers spread across platforms.

In honor of the Summer Olympics getting underway, Spiranac gave the 100m dash a shot.

That’s respectable enough for someone who’s not an elite track athlete.

The 2020 Summer Olympics are currently underway from Tokyo, Japan. The track and field events will take place in the second week of the competition.

Which track and field events are you most looking forward to watching?
