Fans can normally find NFL analyst Mina Kimes on set at ESPN, but this weekend she put on a headset and went into the broadcast booth for the Los Angeles Rams preseason opener against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Kimes is well-known for her solid NFL analysis but on Saturday, fans and media members pointed out one particularly awkward moment caught on video during the preseason game.

Early in the third quarter of Rams-Chargers, the broadcast cut back to booth, surprising play-by-play man Andrew Siciliano and former NFL cornerback Aqib Talib. However, it caught Kimes the most off-guard as she was in the middle of re-adjusting in her seat when the camera gave a glimpse at the broadcast team.

She joked about the moment on air, leading to an awkward couple seconds in the booth before Siciliano pivoted to a conversation about the Rams rookies.

Kimes posted about the video of the moment from her own Twitter account, so clearly she’s in good spirits about the broadcast. Here’s what she had to say about the awkward moment:

Kimes was hired by the Rams to provide commentary on their preseason games back in 2019, so she’s had a little bit of experience in the booth prior to Saturday’s contest. When paired with Talib and Siciliano, she’s a part of one of the most entertaining and informative preseason broadcast teams.

The Rams will be back in action next Saturday against the Las Vegas Raiders, which means Kimes will be back in the booth. The game is scheduled to kick-off at 10 p.m. ET.
