Victor's Hogan adds to laurels; Pittsford wins 22nd title at Section V swim championships

Victor's Meredith Hogan already added two Section V championships to her mantle Friday evening. So why did she return to the Webster Aquatic Center on Saturday?

After earning Class A Swimmer of the Meet honors, Hogan joined her Victor Blue Devils to cheer on their "teammate" Emma Farrelman in the Class C finals. She's the only Bloomfield swimmer and trained with Victor all season. Victor and Bloomfield's programs were previously combined.

"We're so proud of Emma," Hogan said. "We wanted to make sure she's included in everything. Being on your own as a freshman is really hard. It was really nice to go and support her.

"We've lost a lot of seniors. It was a big transition. But we're definitely still a family."
