The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Is Being Reimagined
After a four-year hiatus, the Victoria's Secret runway is returning. The previously televised spectacle has been reimagined as a "one-of-a-kind show" that is part documentary and part a "spectacular fashion event."
Called The Victoria’s Secret World Tour, the special promises to be "an unrivaled viewing experience that celebrates the mission of Victoria’s Secret—to uplift and champion women—on a global scale."
"This film is the ultimate expression of the Victoria's Secret brand transformation. It will be driven by fashion, glamour and entertainment with a nod to beloved iconography from the past but in a bold, redefined way," Raúl Martinez, EVP and Head Creative Director at Victoria's Secret & Co., said in a previous press release. "We are so honored to offer our platform and have it explored through the lens and artistry of global creatives who celebrate the individuality of women's stories and perspectives."

Before the iconic show was canceled in 2019, then-L Brands CEO Les Wexner said—in a memo obtained by CNBC—that "fashion is a business of change," adding, "We must evolve and change to grow. With that in mind, we have decided to re-think the traditional Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show."

What is The Victoria’s Secret World Tour?
The Victoria’s Secret World Tour is an expansion of the collaboration between Amazon and Victoria’s Secret. According to a press release, the special will take "viewers on a journey through the creation of The Tour, with behind-the-scenes footage and intimate stories of the VS20—a group of 20 innovative global creatives who will conceive four fashion curations from the vibrant cities of Bogota, Lagos, London and Tokyo, alongside iconic custom Victoria's Secret designs."
The re-imagined fashion show is described as "a celebration of women and global creatives, looking at fashion and art through a cinematic narrative lens."

How to watch The Victoria’s Secret World Tour
You won't find the show on cable this time around. In his 2019 memo to employees, Wexner said that going forward they didn't believe that network television was "the right fit" for the show. Instead, The Victoria’s Secret World Tour will be available to stream on Prime Video.
When will The Victoria’s Secret World Tour air?
The Amazon Original will premiere on Sept. 26, 2023, but a star-studded launch event dubbed the Pink Carpet—featuring Lila Moss and Julia Fox—is taking place on Sept. 6.
