Vehicle crash in Caldwell kills Nampa man after driver fails to yield to motorcycle

A crash in Caldwell left one person dead.

According to Idaho State Police:

A 35-year-old man from Ontario, Oregon was driving a Toyota Tacoma north on South 5th Avenue with a 28-year-old female passenger from Caldwell when he came to a stop sign at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. He stopped but failed to yield to a motorcycle heading east on Cleveland Boulevard.

The vehicles collided, and the 62-year-old man from Nampa driving the motorcycle died from his injuries at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet.

The two people in the Toyota were not seriously injured.

Police said they were continuing to investigate.
