Vanna White may not have attended the 2024 Met Gala, but she already knew what she'd be wearing if she did. OK, maybe she would need help making the final decision, but at least she could easily pull a few options from her Wheel of Fortune wardrobe.
In fact, the official Instagram account of the show went ahead and took care of that for her, sharing nearly a dozen stylish looks that would have coincided with this year's dress code perfectly.
Of the 10 photos included in the fashion round-up, eight featured a floral pattern, while the other two were either plain or sparsely embellished. Three featured regal high-neck halter tops, while five others were some variation of an asymmetrical one-shoulder gown. The last two were designed with the classic, always-trending tank top style.
"Representing beauty, youth, & elegance: the style icon we missed last night!" the social team declared in the caption. "Let’s take a moment for these Garden of Time-esque looks 🤩👏💖 #METGala #GardenofTime."
Social media users agreed, with one declaring, "Vanna has the most amazing dresses," and another sharing that regardless of what it is, the 67-year-old "can wear anything and look good! She showcases her wardrobes so well."
This year's official dress code, "Garden of Time," certainly saw its fair share of floral picks, extremely colorful ensembles, wild hair and headpieces and head-turning looks and memorable men's fashion moments, the fan-favorite letter-turner would have managed to stand out in whatever she chose to wear.
Some of the WoF picks that feature more intricate embellishments and woven pieces even complement the theme of the 2024 event benefiting the Costume Institute, which was "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion." The theme was inspired by the fact that the dresses included in this year's exhibition are lying in cases because they're too fragile and special to be worn or hung on mannequins.
