Vanderburgh County's Burdette Park Aquatic Center opens soon. Here's what to know.
EVANSVILLE — Anyone looking to take a break from the heat this summer will have the chance to do so in just a few days the Burdette Park Aquatic Center.
The pool will open this Saturday, and remain open until August 4.
Here's what to know before a visit this summer.

5301 Nurrenbern Road in Evansville.
When is the Burdette Park Aquatic Center open?
The pools are open seven days a week.
Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, noon to 7 p.m.
How much does it cost to enter the Burdette Park Aquatic Center?
Kids age 2 and under are free. Season passes are currently available at a discounted price until 3 p.m. on Memorial Day. Regular price passes are listed below.
Day passes:
Kids ages 3 to 11: $5
Seniors age 65 and older: $5
Age 12 to 64: $6
Regular price season passes:
One pass - $60
Two passes - $100
Three passes - $120
Family of four - $150
Family of five - $187.50
Family of six - $225
Weekly specials:
From 3 to 7 p.m. on Fridays, entry is $5.
Wednesday admission is $5 per person
Donation drive ongoing aimed at helping families swim this summer
The Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library is highlighting city pools and Burdette's pool as a part of its Seasons of Sharing program.
Through May 31, all library locations are taking donations of various items that families and individuals will be able to use to visit local pools.
Here's what can be donated:
New (with tags), brightly-colored swimwear for all ages
Swim diapers
Flip-flops
Goggles
Unopened sunscreen
Beach towels
