Vandebilt Catholic High School's Mallory Thibodaux signs to play college softball

Fresh off a state championship, Vandebilt Catholic softball player Mallory Thibodaux took the next step in her athletic career Tuesday. In a ceremony held in the school's library, Thibodaux officially signed to play college softball for Holmes Community College in Mississippi.

Thibodaux, an outfielder, put pen to paper in front of her family, friends, teammates and coaches and officially became a college athlete.

"This is something I've wanted to do since I started my softball career," Thibodaux said. "I don't think I would have made it this far without the coaches and people on my side who helped make this possible."

Thibodaux played in all three outfield positions during her high school career, capping it off as the starting right fielder on the Terriers' 2024 state title team.
