Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham splits from fiancé
The Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham has announced her split from fiancé of one year, Darren Genet.
The actress, known for playing Bonnie Bennett on the hit CW show (which recently returned to Netflix UK), confirmed the break-up via Twitter on Wednesday (July 12).
"Hey everyone. After many years together, Darren and I have chosen to no longer be together," she began.
"The engagement ended a few months ago. He’s a great guy and we wish each other nothing but the most happy and beautiful life."

Graham and Genet began dating in 2017. Genet was a director and producer on The Vampire Diaries, though a source confirmed to People magazine that the two didn't actually meet on the set of the show.
News of their engagement was confirmed to People in May 2022, with Genet getting down on one knee during a holiday to Mexico to celebrate his birthday.

Genet and Graham last stepped out together publicly in December 2022, for TIME Magazine’s Person of the Year event.
The former couple maintained a private relationship, though Graham did pay tribute to her ex-fiancé in an Instagram post back in August 2021.
Graham dressed in an all-in-one jumpsuit, is seen sat on Genet's lap, planting a kiss on his cheek. "My brilliant amazing talented love! Finally ready to show the world what we’ve been working on for 4 years… TOMORROW," read the caption.
Audiences most recently saw Graham on screen in the Netflix rom-com Love in the Villa, alongside Umbrella Academy star Tom Hopper.
