No. 20 South Carolina is down one of its top transfers for its last two-game road trip.

The Gamecocks announced Myles Stute didn’t travel with the team to Oxford, Mississippi after he sprained his left knee in practice. South Carolina was to play Ole Miss in Oxford on Saturday afternoon.

Stute missed three conference games earlier this season after he strained his shoulder in the second half of USC’s first meeting against Georgia on Jan. 16. He made his return at Tennessee on Jan. 30. Stute’s averaged nine points per game and 3.3 rebounds per game this year. Following his shoulder strain, Stute become one of the first Gamecocks’ off the bench, after he was a regular starter through Jan. 16.

USC (21-5, 9-4 SEC) is still in the hunt for a top-four seed in the SEC tournament March 13-17, currently tied for third place with Auburn. The Gamecocks’ game at Ole Miss is their second meeting between the two programs this year.
