All of Us Strangers is now available to watch on Disney+

All of Us Strangers is now available to watch on Disney+ if you missed it at the cinema.

The Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal film was released in cinemas earlier this year to huge acclaim – earning six BAFTA nominations, although it ended up missing out on the night.

It's still absolutely worth a watch though, and you can watch All of Us Strangers right now on Disney+ if you're a subscriber.

If you're not a subscriber, you can sign up to the streaming service from £4.99 per month for the Disney+ Standard with Ads plan. There are extra ad-free plans starting from £7.99 per month or £79.90 for an entire year.

All of Us Strangers follows a lonely screenwriter called Adam (played by Scott) who meets a fellow neighbour called Harry (Mescal), embarking on a relationship that changes his life.

Adam begins to confront his childhood, where his parents both died in a car crash when he was 12, and learns more about himself as he sees visions of his parents (Claire Foy and Jamie Bell).

In Digital Spy's four-star review, we said that All of Us Strangers "takes viewers into an emotional storm crafted to perfection".

"The movie's performances, visual language, song choices, emotional scope – everything is on point, utterly devastating and still soul-healing."

Speaking to DS earlier this year about the movie, director Andrew Haigh opened up about the importance of showing the experiences of gay men growing up during the AIDS crisis through Adam.

"As young queer people in that time, we grew up surrounded by the idea that our sexuality was completely linked to death," he explained.

"I think it's very easy to forget how traumatic and horrendous that was, and that we are still living with the ramifications of that and the shame that went along with that."

Haigh added: "I always wanted it to be a love letter to queer people of a certain generation to say, 'You know what? I know that it's still painful to think back at that time, and it is still painful. And I want us to realise that it's still painful and it's okay to appreciate that sometimes.'"

All of Us Strangers is available to watch now on Disney+ from March 20. The film is also available to buy from Prime Video, iTunes and more in the UK. It is available to buy or rent from Prime Video and iTunes in the US, as well as streaming on Hulu.
