US Open 2024: How to watch, stream, and betting favorites for PGA major tournament

Golf's third major tournament of the season has arrived with players teeing off early Thursday morning at the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club (Course No. 2) in North Carolina.

All eyes are on World No. 1 golfer Scottie Scheffler, who's looking for his sixth win in his last nine events.

The Ridgewood, New Jersey, native has dominated the 2024 season, emerging victorious at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and THE PLAYERS Championship in March, the RBC Heritage and The Masters in April. He concluded the lead up to the U.S. Open with a victory at the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio last weekend.

With the first round already underway, here's how to watch, stream and the odds-on-favorites for the U.S. Open:

How to watch the 2024 U.S. Open

The complete first round of this year's U.S. Open will air on USA, which will also have early coverage throughout the third and fourth round on the weekend.

NBC will carry the following three rounds, including the final round on Sunday.

Here's are the times for the full TV schedule of the U.S. Open:

Thursday: 6:30 a..m.-5 p.m. (USA)

Friday: 1-7 p.m. (NBC)

Saturday: 10 a.m.-12 p.m. (USA) and 12-8 p.m. (NBC)

Sunday: 9 a.m.-12 p.m. (USA) and 12-7 p.m. (NBC)

Where to stream this year's U.S. Open

With a majority of the event on NBC, the place to stream the U.S. Open is Peacock. While there's no direct free trial for NBC's streaming service, there are multiple other ways you can get Peacock as an add-on, with a subscription to Instacart Plus and those that are Xfinity Now TV subscribers.

Who are the betting favorites for the 2024 U.S. Open?

With Scheffler racking up wins at a torrid pace this season, he was the clear odds-on-favorite before the tournament began at 3/1 (+300) and remains the favorite prior to him teeing off Thursday afternoon at 1:14 p.m. in a group with fellow major winners in Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele, who's coming off his first major title at the PGA Championship at Valhalla Country Club in Louisville last month.
