Team USA revealed an exciting Parisian treat for the U.S. Women’s Water Polo team by making a slight revision to one of Taylor Swift’s lyrics while quoting her song “Paris.”

“Like we ARE in Paris,” Team USA began as it shared the team’s news in a Instagram video uploaded on Thursday, May 9. With less than three months to go until the 2024 Summer Olympics begin in Paris, the team decided its athletes deserved a bit of fun in the City of Love.

The post continued with its announcement, explaining that the team was “going to see @taylorswift live at the same arena they will compete for a historic fourth-straight gold medal at the #ParisOlympics!”

The concert tickets were a surprise for the water poloists, who collectively cheered and clapped in a video documenting the moment they heard the news.

Maggie Steffens, who won gold medals with the U.S. team at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Olympics, was one of thousands who commented on the post. “Here we come!” Steffens wrote, tagging Swift’s Instagram account in her comment.

Kaleigh Gilchrist, who won gold with the team at the last two Summer Games, also left an excited comment. “Can’t wait!! We are coming for you @taylorswift!”

Team USA posted the video on the same day that the “Cruel Summer” singer kicked off the European leg of her Eras Tour. She performed her first of four consecutive nights on May 9 at the Paris La Défense Arena, an indoor arena in the city’s Nanterre suburb.

The “Anti-Hero” songstress resumed her tour following a two-month break, and fans have already started to notice the many ways she revamped the structure of her performance during that time off. One of the big changes was the addition of a set inspired by her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. Swift released the project as a surprise double album on April 19.
