Upstate high school girls soccer Super 25 power rankings as teams reach state semifinals
Here are the latest Super 25 power rankings for Upstate high school girls soccer teams.
1. J.L. Mann
Record: 15-4
Previous ranking (April 22): 2
What to know: Mann finished second in the Region 1-AAAAA behind Mauldin but won three straight games in the playoffs to reach the Upper State championship game.
2. Eastside
Record: 20-2
Previous ranking: 3
What to know: Eastside beat Easley and Catawba Ridge to reach the Class AAAA Upper State championship game. The only losses this season were to AAAAA teams J.L. Mann and Mauldin.
3. Riverside
Record: 16-4
Previous ranking: 16-4
What to know: Riverside reached the Class AAAA Upper State championship game for a rematch against Eastside, the team that has handed the Warriors half of their losses this season.
4. Mauldin
Record: 19-1
Previous ranking: 1
What to know: Mauldin never lost a match this season until the Class AAAAA Upper State semifinals, falling 1-0 to Clover.
5. Daniel

Previous ranking: 9
What to know: Daniel went 10-0 in its region, then beat Blue Ridge, Wren and Chapman in the playoffs by a combined 12-0 to reach the Class AAA Upper State final.

What to know: Powdersville went 6-0 in its region and crushed its first three opponents in the Class AAA playoffs by a combined 23-1 to reach the Upper State final at Daniel.
7. Dorman
Record: 12-4-2
Previous ranking: 6
What to know: Dorman went undefeated in Region 2-AAAAA, beat at-large Hillcrest in the first round of the playoffs and then lost to Nation Ford in the Upper State semifinals.
8. Greenville
Record: 11-5-1
Previous ranking: 8
What to know: Greenville went 8-1 in region play and had a bye in the first round of the Class AAAA playoffs but was matched up against Riverside in the second round.
9. Christ Church
Record: 17-3-2
Previous ranking: 9
What to know: Christ Church dominated its first three rounds in the Class AA playoffs by a combined 25-1 to reach the state semifinals.
10. Chapman
Record: 12-5
Previous ranking: NR
What to know: Chapman went 7-1 in Region 3-AAA, tied with Travelers Rest with a split of their two games, and won a pair of playoff games before a 1-0 loss to Daniel.

What to know: Travelers Rest went 7-1 in Region 3-AAA and then won in the playoffs against West-Oak and Emerald before being eliminated by Powdersville.

What to know: Easley beat Airport in the Class AAAA playoffs before running into Eastside.
13. Greenville Hurricanes

What to know: The Greenville Hurricanes are home-schooled students and not a part of the SCHSL, but they beat Powdersville early in the season and then teams like Travelers Rest, Hillcrest and Landrum with a tie against Easley.

What to know: Wade Hampton lost to Indian Land in the first round of the Class AAAA playoffs.
15. St. Joseph’s

What to know: St. Joseph’s lost only to Christ Church in region play and then won three playoff games in getting to a rematch in the state semifinals.

What to know: Woodmont finished third in a tough region behind Mauldin and J.L. Mann, and lost to Nation Ford in the first round of the Class AAAAA playoffs.
