Upcoming events at Adena Mansion and Gardens include scavenger hunt, vintage "base ball" game

The following events are happening at the Adena Mansion and Gardens.

A Servant’s View with Beverly Gray: Join local historian Beverly Gray at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19, for a discussion about the servants who worked at Adena. Admission to this event is free.

Plant Sale: Adena Mansion and Gardens’ Annual Heirloom Plant Sale is here once again. The sale focuses on heirloom plants that are varieties raised and passed on before the advent of industrial farming. Many plants go back at least as far as Worthington’s time, with varieties of flowers, tomatoes, vegetables, and herbs will be on sale.This year’s sale began Saturday, May 4, and run until Sunday, May 19. Hours of operation will be Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays from noon to 5 p.m., and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

I have attached the press release for the Nature Scavenger Hunt that will be held on Sunday, June 2, at 2 pm. This event will take place on the grounds at Adena Mansion and Gardens. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Nature Scavenger Hunt: The Nature Scavenger Hunt will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 2. Little explorers will use their skills to hunt different items in nature. Children will get to explore the Worthington estate while learning about nature. Admission for this event is free, and children ages five and up are welcome and must have a parent or chaperone accompany them.

Vintage “Base Ball” Game: The Adena Worthingtons will challenge The Ohio Village Muffins in a doubleheader exhibition of vintage baseball played by 19th-century rules. The game begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1 and is free and open to the public.

Skip into Art with Steve Patrick: Join Steve Patrick at noon Saturday, June 1, as we continue to honor Skip Hathaway and her love of art with Skip into Art. This art class is for children ages five and up, and children must have a parent or chaperone with them. Admission to this event is free, and art supplies will be provided.
