‘Unprecedented’ Trump documentary to debut on Sunday ahead of Jan. 6 committee’s next hearing

The British documentary that promises new revelations about former President Donald Trump and his family will debut on Sunday night, less than 48 hours before the next hearing of the Jan. 6 committee.

All three episodes of “Unprecedented,” the series by filmmaker Alex Holder, will be available for streaming on the Discovery+ channel starting July 10.

Holder has already handed over his footage and even outtakes to the Congressional committee and testified under oath to the panel.

The documentary makers were given what they claim is unrivaled access to the Trump family in the fateful weeks between his loss in the 2020 election and the end of his term in January 2021.

It was sold to Trump as a “legacy project” that would offer a human side of the larger-than-life family.

But Holder wound up getting a front-row seat as Trump and his adult children mounted their fight to overturn the election results.

The film boasts previously unseen interviews with Trump and members of his family both before and after Jan. 6. It also promises new footage from the attack on the Capitol itself.

So far, trailers have offered just a few snippets of newsworthy information, like former Vice President Mike Pence reacting with approval to news of a push to remove Trump from office using the 25th Amendment.

It also shows Trump proudly claiming that he treats people well unless they cross him, in which case “it’s war.”

The documentary also promises fascinating glimpses into the former First Family’s foibles.

One scene shows Trump sparring with an unseen member of the film crew about the placement of a side table and glass of water. Another depicts Ivanka Trump fussing over her dress in another shot.

It’s not known if the documentary has still-unknown bombshells to disclose that could be damaging to Trump as he faces a growing mountain of legal evidence about his involvement in the Jan. 6 attack.

The Jan. 6 committee will hold the seventh televised hearing on July 12, one that is expected to zero in on the role of white nationalists and radical right-wing extremists in the attack on the Capitol.
