All-pro safety Tyrann Mathieu is willing to keep being patient when it comes to signing with a new team.

Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Mathieu is in no rush to sign a deal, even after he just visited the New Orleans Saints.

It’s also been rumored that the Pittsburgh Steelers have shown interest in Mathieu’s services. No visit has been scheduled, but they do have a need for a strong safety starter since Terrell Edmunds is a free agent.

Mathieu is fresh off another stellar season with the Kansas City Chiefs. He finished with 76 total tackles (60 solo), one sack, three fumble recoveries, three interceptions, and six passes defended.

He’s the best safety left on the free-agent market and will still likely get a lucrative contract whenever he chooses to sign.

The NFL world had already suspected that Mathieu was being patient during this process.

We’ll have to see where Mathieu decides to take his talents to next.
