Typical Day in the Life of Pampered English Bulldog Immediately Goes Viral

Talk about living your best life! Odie is a very big English Bulldog who is spoiled rotten by his family. His mom shared a video on Friday, April 19th where she rated all the things that he does during the day on a scale from 1 to 10, and it will make you smile.

Odie kicks off his day with some yoga and stretching...clearly a 10/10 way to start the day. There's napping and playing with his toy truck, both of which also ranked high on the scale. But some of his activities actually received negative numbers! Watch and decide which of his daily activities is your favorite.

I could get used to days like that! Odie's days are way more exciting than mine! I loved the English Bulldog's adorable tantrums...he's just like a little kid! People really enjoyed the video, and it went viral with more than 21 million views, 4 million likes, and over 8 thousand comments. It was a hit!

One commenter got nearly 151 thousand likes when they pointed out, "I swear bulldogs are like a teenager in a dog form only positive thing is they don’t talk back." @Lexxxx laughed, "He’s an iPad dog!!!" I laughed at @Dayton Jernigan's comment, "Naps like he pays the bills." and @BATMAN cracked me up with, "That one unemployed friend on a Wednesday."

Do English Bulldogs Make Good Pets?

Odie is beyond cute and makes me want to get a bulldog! I always thought I'd want an English Bulldog as a pet since they are very chill and lazy dogs that like to sleep a lot and are the ultimate couch potato dogs. But if you're looking for a dog who's active and likes to play and go on walks and accompany you everywhere, this breed probably isn't the right choice.

Of course there are always pros and cons that come with any dog breed that you think might be a good pet. Bulldogs are a breed known for their goofy personalities that will keep you entertained. They love their humans fiercely and can make great watch dogs - not guard dogs because they aren't the fastest movers, but they'll tell you when people are coming. They're great with children and other animals, which is always a plus. They don't shed much and aren't known to be barkers.

Since they aren't highly active, they don't require a whole lot of room to run around, and they make great apartment or small space dogs. That's not to say they don't like to play - they love running around and playing with their toys...they just aren't as enthusiastic about it for long period of times like other dogs.

These dogs are an expensive breed to own because of their health problems. Their skin and wrinkles make grooming a constant, and often lead to food allergies, which means special food and treats. They also snore (and pass gas) often and loudly!

As with any dog, make sure to do your research before bringing one home. A dog might be cute, but that doesn't mean it would make the perfect pet for your family.
