TxDOT road projects to close part of US 287 for bridge work
Officials from the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) released information on various lane closures and updates due to ongoing projects:
On Monday, April 22, expect various lane closures on I-40 westbound at the I-27 interchange for bridgework. The work is expected to take three days to complete.
On Wednesday, April 24, northbound US 287 will be closed from East Hastings Avenue to East Central Avenueas crews continue to work on bridge replacement projects. All traffic will be reduced to a single lane and detoured to southbound US 287. The East Hastings entrance ramp will be closed until July 2024 as part of this construction phase.
On Thursday, April 25, the intersection of US 287 and East Hastings Avenue will be closed as crews demolish the northbound bridge at Hastings Avenue. The work is expected to take five days to complete.
