Truly Texan is back from a brief hiatus with an episode featuring Jennifer Wilson (AKA Hydra) and Amy Sherman (AKA Electra Blu), two founders of Texas Roller Girls in Austin.

Before Texas Roller Girls, roller derby teams didn't exist. Wilson and Sherman said their group was the first, and they helped pioneer the sport by creating rules and even designing a track.

Wilson and Sherman talk about all of this and more, such as their favorite memories from derby and what derby looks like today.

Also, an important scheduling announcement about Truly Texan: the podcast will now be uploaded twice a month on Thursdays!
