Two vehicles crash into building in NE Albuquerque, 1 person taken to hospital

May 8—One person was taken to a hospital after two vehicles crashed into a commercial building in Northeast Albuquerque late Tuesday.

Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to the call in the 5500 block of Menaul NE, near Palomas, around 11:30 p.m.

According to a Fire Rescue Facebook post, a driver hit another vehicle, pushing it into a vacant business and causing damage to neighboring suites.

AFR said the driver was able to get out of the vehicle before being taken to a hospital to be evaluated for injuries. No one else was injured.

The Albuquerque Police Department investigated the incident, Fire Rescue said, adding that "no other information is available at this time."

APD did not immediately respond to requests seeking more information.
