Two Rivers police investigating after man’s body pulled from harbor Sunday morning

TWO RIVERS – The body of an approximately 30- to 50-year-old white man was pulled from the Two Rivers harbor Sunday morning.

The man’s body was found by fishermen in the area where the East Twin and West Twin rivers converge, Two Rivers Police Department Capt. Andrew Raatz said in a news release.

The body was removed from the water by Two Rivers Fire Department and was in custody of the Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office, which determined the approximate age and said the man had brown hair and numerous tattoos.

No obvious evidence of foul play was evident, Raatz said, adding the coroner’s office is still investigating cause of death.

The public is not believed to be in any danger, Raatz said.

Two Rivers police, Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources are investigating the incient and attempting to identify the man. Anyone with information about the incident or the man’s possible identity is asked to contact Two Rivers Police Department Det. Megan Klumpyan at 920-686-7200.

No further details were immediately released Sunday afternoon.
