And Amazon is offering discounts on Jackery and Anker portable power stations for up to 25 percent off.

The Jackery Explorer 300 is an excellent off-grid companion because of its 293-watt-hour battery and maximum power output of 300 watts, enough to power small appliances and everyday electronics (e.g., a coffee maker and laptop). You also get multiple outlets, including a 110-volt AC outlet, two USB-A ports, and one 60-watt power delivery USB-C port. The Explorer 300 typically costs $349, but this lightning sale at Amazon brings the price down to $299, saving you money to put toward Jackery’s solar panels. These will, in turn, help replenish the Explorer’s battery.

Anker is offering a similarly good deal on its 521 Portable Power Station, down to $187 from its regular price of $249. This model features a 256-watt-hour battery and a maximum power output of 200 watts. Like the Explorer 300, Anker’s portable power station can run small appliances and electronics so that you can enjoy some of the comforts of home during a weekend camping trip. The 521 also offers six ports, including two AC, two USB-A, a USB-C, and a car outlet. The USB-C port can recharge the Anker 521 to 80 percent in 1.5 hours.

We’ve tested and reviewed similar models from Jackery and Anker, and they’ve ranked among the best. While a portable power station isn’t quite powerful enough to match the best portable generators, the options on this list are excellent for a day by the lake or in the mountains.
